🛠️ Troubleshooting • SSL-001 / SSL-002

Let’s fix it fast (most issues are setup, not defects).

Before assuming your light is defective, run through the quick checks below. The #1 cause is insufficient charging or nighttime light interference (porch lights/headlights).

90% of “not working” cases are solved by:

  • Turn it ON (press & hold ~1.5 seconds)
  • Direct sunlight for 6–8 hours (first charge)
  • Test in darkness (cover the panel)
  • Relocate away from porch lights/headlights

Quick Fix (Do These 3 Checks First)

Check 1

Is it ON?

Press and hold the power button for ~1.5 seconds until it responds.

Check 2

Did it get a real first charge?

Place in direct sunlight for 6–8 hours. (Windows, shade, and cloudy days can undercharge.)

Check 3

Can it turn on in darkness?

Cover the solar panel with your hand (or test in a dark room). If it lights up, the LEDs + sensor are working.

Bonus

Eliminate night-light interference

Porch lights, streetlights, garage floods, and vehicle headlights can “trick” the sensor into thinking it’s daytime.

Placement & mounting tips

Why watch this first?

The video shows the correct mounting + positioning so you avoid shade and nighttime interference. Most “defects” are solved by adjusting location and charging.

Choose Your Issue

1) Light does not turn on at night

Do this: Turn ON → charge 6–8 hrs direct sun → cover panel to test → relocate away from porch/headlights.

2) Light turns on during the day / never turns off

Do this: Clean panel/sensor → reposition away from reflections/artificial light → mount higher if near driveways.

3) Light is dim or dies quickly

Do this: Clean panel → move to unobstructed sun → avoid shade/eaves/trees → allow a full sunlight cycle.

4) Flickers / only works when tapped

Do this: Full-day recharge → clean sensor → relocate away from night light interference.

No. The battery is sealed (non-replaceable) to maintain waterproof reliability. Complete all charging + placement troubleshooting steps first. If issues persist, contact support.
Clean the panel, ensure full daily charging, and reposition to direct sun. If performance fades long-term, replacement may be needed due to the sealed battery design.
Mount the light higher and avoid installs directly in front of driveways/low posts. Keep the solar panel facing the sun but away from nighttime headlight beams.
That’s good news — it means the unit is working. Nighttime artificial light is confusing the sensor. Reposition and ensure 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily.

Critical First-Use Checklist (Do This Before Returning)

Step 1
Turn the light ON (hold ~1.5s)
Step 2
Direct sun charge 6–8 hours
Step 3
Test in darkness (cover panel)
Step 4
Choose proper placement (avoid shade)
Step 5
Avoid interference (porch lights/headlights)
