Real estate & address signs

YOUR STARTING PLAN

Your questions, answered

Will this work on a 24 × 36 inch sign?

Start with BICSSL-01 for a conventional small real estate sign. Plan one light per face. Check the bracket position and test the installed light after dark; the sign’s finish and mounting distance affect the result.

What if I need both sides lit?

Select two faces. The planner doubles the fixture count and converts that count into the selected single or two-pack option.

Will solar lights work in cloudy weather?

Solar charging depends on direct sunlight, season and placement. Keep the panel clear of shade and check the selected model’s guide for charging and runtime. Battery reserve is not a guarantee for every cloudy spell.

Business signs & billboards

YOUR STARTING PLAN

Your questions, answered

What should I use for a 4 × 8 ft sign?

Enter width 8 ft and height 4 ft. The starting layout is two 4 FT BICSSL-04 bars per face, based on the existing Blueprint’s wide-sign guidance. Confirm aiming, mounting distance and brightness before ordering; this is not a tested coverage guarantee.

What about an 8 × 10 ft billboard?

Enter width 10 ft and height 8 ft. The planner identifies BICSSL-04 as a front-lighting candidate and asks for a layout review. Sign height, mounting setback and the required brightness are needed to confirm a reliable quantity.

BICSSL-04 or BICSSL-05PN?

Choose BICSSL-04 to project light onto a sign face. BICSSL-05PN is a backlighting system for compatible displays; panel construction and dimensions need a project review.

Fence & deck posts

YOUR STARTING PLAN

Your questions, answered

How many lights do I need for my fence or deck?

Count only the posts you want illuminated. Use one cap light per post. Nine posts need five two-packs: ten lights supplied, with one spare.

Will the cap fit my posts?

Measure the actual post top, including any sleeve. Compare those dimensions with the selected product’s mounting information before ordering. Nominal lumber sizes and actual dimensions can differ.

Warm white or cool white?

Warm white gives a softer appearance; cool white gives a crisper appearance. Color temperature alone does not tell you brightness. Choose the finish and color temperature in the product option below.

Portable toilets & sheds

YOUR STARTING PLAN

Your questions, answered

How many lights per portable toilet?

Start with one BICSHL-06 per standard portable restroom. Check roof fit, daylight access and motion activation in a sample unit before rolling out a fleet.

Can I use this for a shed?

This model is a motion light for small enclosed spaces. Large sheds or work areas may need several fixtures or a different product. Request a layout review with the shed dimensions.

What should I check before a fleet order?

Test mounting, weather sealing, charging, motion detection and cleaning procedures on one unit first. Keep a few spare lights if your maintenance plan requires them.

Warehouse & facility

YOUR STARTING PLAN

Your questions, answered

How is the warehouse quantity calculated?

This uses the original Blueprint’s rough coverage rules: 250 sq ft per fixture below 15 ft, 200 sq ft at 15–25 ft, and 150 sq ft above 25 ft. It rounds up. These are budgeting heuristics, not verified photometric coverage.

Can I use this count for a parking lot?

No. Outdoor pole height, spacing, beam distribution and spill light need a separate layout. Use the commercial category link or request a review with your site dimensions.

Can I phase the installation?

Yes. Plan one zone at a time and check the installed result before expanding. Confirm voltage, beam angle and mounting with your installer; aisles, racks and task lighting affect the final design.

Kitchen & recessed lights
Planning assumptions — adjust if you know your fixture

800 lumens is an example, not a Brighticonic product specification. This estimate uses 30–40 lumens per sq ft for general lighting; it does not account for fixture losses or replace a lighting layout.

Read the general lighting guideline

YOUR STARTING PLAN

Your questions, answered

How many can lights for a 200 sq ft kitchen?

With the default planning assumption of 800 lumens per light, 200 sq ft gives a starting range of 8–10 lights for general illumination. Replace the assumed output with the actual fixture’s lumens before choosing a quantity.

Does this include countertop lighting?

No. This is a first estimate for general lighting. Counters, sinks and islands may need separate task lighting. Ceiling height, dark finishes and beam distribution also affect the layout.

Which Brighticonic downlight should I buy?

A product-specific recommendation is not available yet. Ask us to confirm a fixture, its lumen output, electrical compatibility and current availability before ordering.

Porches, paths & gardens

Go straight to the lighting category for your space.

Your questions, answered

Which category fits my space?

Choose wall lights for porches and facades, pathway lights for garden routes, step lights for stairs, or post caps for fences and decks.

Can I calculate path lights from length alone?

A reliable count also needs the selected fixture’s spread, path width and mounting location. Send those details for a layout review instead of buying from an assumed spacing.

Events & rental sites

YOUR STARTING PLAN

Your questions, answered

What does this event count cover?

Portable restroom lighting only: one BICSHL-06 per standard unit as a starting plan. It does not size venue, walkway or emergency lighting.

How do I prepare for a rental deployment?

Test charging and motion activation before dispatch, protect fixtures during transport, and check mounting and seals after each move.
